Report From Our Mission Trip—Week of Hope

The Trinity Youth Group went on our annual work camp trip to Pittsburgh PA. It is hard to find words to express how great an experience it was. We left on Sunday, June 17th and came back June 22nd. The staff members gave us a warm welcome and showed us to where we would be sleeping. Little did I know at the time that this would be one of the greatest experiences of my life.

We got right to work the next day. Each morning we would have a program explaining the theme of the day (Forgive, Peace, Love, Live). Then we were off to our sites. In my opinion, the greatest part of the camp was meeting the people that we would be helping, and witnessing how grateful they were that we were there. We would come back at 3:30PM or so every day and we would have free time. We would then have dinner which always consisted of great food. After that, a certain youth group would have hospitality tasks. These consisted of helping out around the campsite (cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors etc.). We would then proceed to the chapel where our evening programs were held. Every night we had a chance to meet back up with our youth groups and share our experiences. We all had a great time, and developed great relationships with people all over the US. We would like to thank all of the members of Trinity Parish for your support, prayers, and donations. We couldn't have experienced this without you."
