Trinity Episcopal

Adult Education

Trinity Parish is committed to helping Christians of all ages grow in the knowledge and love of God and in compassion for and understanding of one another. We believe that healthy spiritual development requires regular study and discussion. Trinity offers a variety of programs and classes to support people in their life-long journey of faith.

Adulted1_thumbWings and a Prayer: A Group for the Ungrouped

Dates: Tuesdays, March 18, April 15
7:00-8:30 pm
Presto, corner of 12th and Washington Sts. next to the Washington Street Ale House

This informal group is to learn/discover/discuss how the Gospel we hear on Sunday informs our work lives or how our work life informs us about the gospel.  In time, matters of ethics in the workplace might be a topic also as we each bring our unique experiences to the group.

If anyone has had a paricular experience of life in the Gospel between now and our meeting, we'd all be delighted if you'd tell us about it so we may learn from your experience.  And we will have some fun and laughs and things to eat and drink!

Please try and bring your bulletins from the previous Sunday's worship.  There will be extras in case you need one.

Please contact Maureen Lyons through the Parish Office for more information. We look forward to seeing you there!

Confirmation Class (Adult)

We offer this study of the theology and tradition of the Episcopal Church each year. The class is designed for people seeking information about the Episcopal Church, those preparing for confirmation, and Episcopalians wishing to refresh their knowledge and understanding of the Episcopal Church. The class is led by clergy and is required for those adults who wish to be confirmed.  All visitors and inquirers are also welcome.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Dates: Saturdays, 10:00 am to Noon
September - June (Ongoing)

Classes include regular instruction, conversation, and the use of computers in a language lab setting.

Newcomers Class

Dates: Contact the Parish Office to be notified when classes are scheduled.

This multi-week orientation to Trinity Parish is offered several times throughout the year. Visitors, those new to the Episcopal Church, and those transferring from other Episcopal churches are invited to participate and learn more about life at Trinity Parish from lay leaders and clergy.  A highlight of this course is an informal Sunday evening supper hosted by the Newcomer Committee for newcomers and staff.
